Wednesday Night Warfare! Episode: 23
The Corino Conspiracy
The show opens with the 2FW intro set to "Rumble Fish" by Sevendust. As usual we go to the studio with commentators and hosts, Dave Prazak and Eric Gargulo
EG: Hello everyone and welcome to another exciting episode of 2FW's Wednesday Night Warfare. I'm Eric Gargulo alongside my partner Dave Prazak. Dave, what is going on around here with Steve Corino?
DP: Well last week Eric, Steve Corino was talking on the phone with a mysterious person. The voice was deepened, they were talking about 'Protocol 5' and they talked about "getting rid of the weak." Also, apparently Corino and the voice, are apart of the 4 Pi thing, and yet the worst part is, no one knows whats gonna happen to all of us in 2FW besides Corino and the voice behind 4 Pi.
EG: Exactly Dave, so to recap the matches last week, Austin Aries defeated Low Ki, B-Boy and Luke Hawx representing James Micthell's "Brothers of Mercy" defeated the team of David and Chris Jericho in a tag match. Kenta defeated Lance Storm, and Facade defeated Steve Corino, kept his job, and got a title shot tonight against Samoa Joe.
DP: For Tonight we have The Young Bucks vs The Lionhearts, David and Chris Jericho, Austin Aries vs Tiger Mask, Christian Faith vs Supreme in a hardcore death match, and of course Facade vs Samoa Joe. Let's not waste anymore time and head down to the ring.
We cut to the ring where "Rainbow In The Dark" by Dio plays in the background and the lights flicker, change colors, and move to the song. Soon the long haired Duo of Chris and Dave Jericho bust out from the curtains and walk down to the ring.
Jeremy Borash: Ladies and gentlemen your opening contest is scheduled for one fall and it is a tag team match! Introducing first, from Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, they are the team of David and Chris Jericho, they are The Lionhearts!
EG: Listen to all the heavy metal fans in attendance here tonight, singing along with their theme. Just Incredible.
DP: Where's Justin Credible? I don't see him.
As The long haired duo enter the ring, the arena goes black and strobe lights begin to goes off to the opening guitar riff of "People of The Sun" by Rage Against The Machine. Soon the tag champs come out and make their way to the ring and give fans at ringside high fives.
JB: And their opponents, from Montebello California, they are the 2FW Tag Team Champions, the team of Matt and Nick Jackson, they are The Young Bucks!
As the young bucks enter the ring, they do their signature pose and take off the belts. They turn around only to have Dave and Chris dropkick them hard enough to push them to the southern outside of the ring; Chris pulls a page out of their book and slides through the ropes dropkicking both men and skinning the cat, and then bounces off the northern ropes and dives over the top onto both of them. He then lifts both of them up quickly only to have Dave hit the signature springboard front flip onto everyone, knocking them down like dominoes.
Opening Contest: The Lionhearts vs The Young Bucks
EG: What a great way to start off this contest!
Lionhearts push the young bucks back into the ring and Dave ad Nick start off. The trade fists before Dave whips Nick off the western ropes, Nick then springboards off the east connecting with a big kick to the face of Dave. Nick then covers him but gets a two count, Nick tags in his brother and sets Dave in wheelbarrow position, Matt then flies over the southern ropes and they connect with a wheelbarrow face buster. Matt pins Dave but gets the two count, Matt whips him off the western ropes and Dave counters with a whip of his own. Dave ducks, Matt connects with a kick to the chest and looks for a flipping neck breaker, just as Matt takes flight Dave slams him down with a sit out water wheel slam. Dave tags in Chris who then whips Matt off the southern ropes and connects with a drop toe-hold while Dave springboards off the west with a leg drop. As Matt rolls over Chris lifts Dave in a back drop but Dave lands a moonsault off his shoulders
DP: Tremendous double teaming by both teams.
Dave and Chris get up only to turn around and get dropkicked by Nick who flies off the north eastern corner. Nick fights off both Dave and Chris long enough so Matt can get up and toss Dave outside. Matt hits the rolling fireman's as Nick climbs the south eastern corner and flies through the air with a four fifty splash but Chris moves out of the way as Dave pulls Matt outside the ring. Dave whips Matt into the western guardrail and hops back into the ring, where him and Chris whip Nick off the western ropes and toss Nick in the air causing him to land on his stomach. Nick quickly gets to his knees and grips his stomach as Chris and Dave kick him in the shoulders and chest; Dave and Chris then bounce off the northern and southern ropes and nail a double dropkick to the sides of his head.
EG: What a sickening double dropkick! I think i just saw a tooth fly out!
Matt comes towards the ring but Dave hits a double jump somersault out of the south eastern corner. In the ring Chris soars through the air with a lionsault and gets a two count; He gets up quick and looks to hit a code breaker but as soon as Chris jumps onto Nick for it, Nick tosses him onto his shoulders for a fireman's carry. He then slams him down with a death valley driver and as he pins him Matt holds back Dave from going to break the pin up.
Winners: The Young Bucks
DP: Another disappointing loss for the lionhearts tonight. It's a shame cause they're such a good team.
EG: I agree Prazak, but the lionhearts remain respectful regardless of their record getting a rocky start.
The Young Bucks celebrate with the Lionhearts with handshakes and raised fists as we cut to commercial.
We come back to commercial to see Austin Aries already in the ring and the lights dim and focus on the stage. The sweeping sounds of a fast paced guitar lick can be heard through out the arena as "Emerald Sword" by Rhapsody comes into play over the speakers. Soon, the legend himself Tiger Mask steps from the curtains and the crowd goes nuts as he walks down from the stage and down the aisle.
JB: Ladies and gentlemen the following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is a 2FW-SWA Super J Cup Match. Introducing first already in the ring, from Milwaukee Wisconsin he is "The Eliminator" Austin Aries and his opponent, Shimonoseki Japan he is the legendary Tiger Mask!
Tiger Mask slowly enters the ring and referee jimmy storm calls for the bell to start the match.
2FW-SWA Super J Cup: Tiger Mask vs Austin Aries
DP: Eric we have history right before us.
The bell sounds and the two start off quick, Aries latches on a wrist lock and Tiger quickly kips up and chops the hand to break the hold. He then chops Aries across the chest and whips him off the western ropes, Aries ducks the chop and springboards off the west with a corssbody. Tiger moves in time and then hits a crossbody of his own and gets a one count, the two get back up and Tiger looks to whip Aries off the southern ropes but Aries turns inside out and connects with a boot to the gut; hits the northern ropes and Tiger leapfrogs over, Aries springboards off the south looking for another crossbody but Tiger dropkicks him in mid flight and Aries rolls to the outside. Tiger looks to dive onto the outside but Aries comes back in as soon as he hits the ropes, catches him in mid flight from a crossbody, and gives a big fall away slam causing Tiger to roll to the northern outside.
EG: Tremendous back and forth action. Exactly what you expect in a Tiger Mask match.
Tiger comes back into the ring where the two get into a lock up. Tiger quickly latches on a side headlock, in which Aries reverses into a waste lock, then Tiger turns it into a snap mare with a sleeper hold. Aries fights it awhile and then arm drags Tiger over, then hits an arm drag, Tiger cuts off his momentum with a dropkick into the south western corner, Tiger then hits a monkey flip but Aries lands to his feet and hits a vicious super kick sending Tiger back into the corner. Aries fires right hands at Tiger and sets him on the top rope, but Tiger quickly locks on an inverted suplex position, but does a flipping stunner out of the corner. He covers Aries but gets only a two count, he picks Aries off the mat and lifts him in a fireman's carry, Aries wiggles free and then hits a brain buster in the center of the ring and covers him getting only a two count.
DP: What a brain buster!
Aries gets up and looks for his signature pendulum elbow but Tiger moves and hits a leg drop. Tiger pins him and gets a two count as well, Tiger then looks for his Tiger suplex but Aries counters and hits a burning hammer, he then climbs the south western turnbuckles and sores through the air with a 450 splash but Tiger moves in time. Tiger then quickly latches on and hits his signature tiger suplex and gets the three count.
Winner: Tiger Mask
EG: A great win here tonight for the legends 2FW debut!
DP: I can't wait to see him and Low Ki go one on one at the Pay Per View!
As Tiger Mask celebrates and gives Aries a hand shake for a good job, we cut to the camera once again peering in the doorway of the office of commissioner Steve Corino. Who happens to be on the phone once more with the deepened voice.
SC: I couldn't get rid of Facade sir, he got the better half of me.
?: Damn it Corino! You can't do anything right can you!? Jesus fucking Christ!
SC: Look, all I can say is that I tried ok!? Fuck you! I actually tried, and you just sit in front of your TV and say that I don't do a good job!
?: Alright calm the fuck down Corino! Listen, the transaction of protocol 5 is very slowly going into my account, I say slowly cause it is alot of what it is.
SC: I understand.
?: Also we need that silver, that way we can melt it down, thats why we need you to win it for us Corino.
SC: I understand sir, that means Facade can not win by any means necessary.
?: You would be correct. I'm also sending someone else to make sure you get the job done, and done right, you have to stop Facade from winning at all costs.
SC: Well who is he?
?: You'll find out Corino, as of now, you just focus on not letting Facade get the silver and reserve it for yourself. Take care now, Four Pi out.
SC: Four Pi Out.
And just like that we cut to commercial.
We come back from commercial to see Supreme already inside a weapons filled ring. The song that comes over the speakers is "Scream" by Dale Oliver with the house of fun intro, as the intro plays on the screen cycles members of the Brothers of Mercy until finally landing on Christian Faith. The actual song finally comes on and so do some lights and eventually Christian Faith comes out from the curtains and runs into the ring and attacks Supreme to start the match.
EG: No introduction needed straight business!
Hardcore Match: Supreme vs Christian Faith
Faith and Supreme trade right hands back and forth, Supreme whips him off the western ropes and Faith hits a jumping elbow to knock Supreme down. Faith goes to the outside and grabs a chair and swings but Supreme ducks and punches the chair into the face of Faith. Supreme then grabs the chair and slams it down across his head, covers him, but gets a two count. The two get up as Faith charges off the eastern ropes and Supreme grabs the chair again, Supreme swings but Faith ducks, Supreme gives a back kick to the gut as Faith comes off the rebound and slams the chair across the head again. Faith is on spaghetti legs as Supreme grabs him by the throat and chokeslams Faith over the eastern ropes and onto the time keepers table, shattering it into pieces and making Faith appear lifeless.
DP: Ho-ly Fuck.
Supreme goes after Faith and pins him on the outside but gets a two count. Supreme then looks to whip him into the eastern guardrail but Faith counters with a whip of his own. Faith then grabs a chair from a fan behind Supreme and slams it down on his head, Faith then looks under the ring and fins a trash can, trash can lids, some light tubes, and a glass pane and slides them into the ring. He then takes the trash can lid and looks to hit Supreme with it who then blocks the shot, gives a kick to the gut, and smacks the lid across Faith's head. He toss him back into the ring where he grabs the trash can, whips him off the northern ropes, and slams the trash can over his head. Supreme then pins him but gets a two count, he then grabs a light tube and the crowd cheers as he slams it down towards Faith, who moves out of the way causing the light tube to shatter, Faith then quickly grabs a light tube from behind Supreme and smacks it over his head, quickly following up with a sit out pump-handle slam onto the trash can getting a two count.
EG: That didn't take long for the light tubes to get used.
Faith goes to the outside and grabs six chairs and sets them up in the ring, he then lays out the glass pane across them and Supreme cracks a light tube across the head of Faith. He then lays out Faith under the glass and takes whatever remains of the trashcan and scales the north western corner. Faith escapes from under the glass just as Messiah comes from the entrance way with a light tube package and breaks them across the back of Supreme sending him flying into the glass. Faith then covers him and gets the three count.
Winner: Christian Faith[/u]
EG: Supreme got screwed again by the Messiah! That no good fucking prick!
Messiah and Faith beat down on Supreme and eventually James Mitchell, Raven, B-Boy, Luke Hawx, and latest addition to the brotherhood Matt Bentley all join in on the beating. Soon they handcuff Supreme around the northern top rope and rip his shirt off, every member then takes a turn caning Supreme as Messiah gets in his face and laughs to anger him.
DP: My god this is just sickening!
EG: That sick bastard Messiah along with Father James Mitchell are laughing in Supreme's face!
Soon they are tired of canning and flip him over so his face is facing theirs, they then take turns shattering light tubes over his head making him bleed down to his waste like a stuffed pig. They then shatter a few light tubes across his stomach before flipping him over to his back again, they all then take turns whipping him with a barbed wire cat-o-nine tails eating away at the skin on his already bad back.
EG: Somebody stop this damn it!
They un-handcuff the blood covered Supreme from the ropes and get amusement as he struggles to fight back. They get him to his knees and take turns beating on him as well as whipping him with the barbed wire cat-o-nine tails. He then weakly raises his head to James Mitchell, who then rubs the blood out of his eyes so he can see just to have a fire ball thrown in his face and scorching it.
DP: That's enough damn it come on!
As if you though it was the nail in Supreme's coffin it isn't, they then drag Supreme to the eastern side of the arena and are up in a balcony, they un-handcuff him but toss him over the balcony tied by his feet, only to bleed onto the floor like a pig in the slaughter house. The camera man gets a close up shot on the ground of the bloody, battered, dangling Supreme and then to the brothers looking down from the balcony who all have smiles on their faces before we cut to commercial.
We come back from commercial with both Joe and Facade in the ring, just in time for the main event.
EG: Welcome back ladies and gentlemen and we're gonna make history with this main event. Samoa Joe defends his Universal Title against Facade.
The two circle one another and look to lock up, Joe tricks Facade as he goes for the lock up but takes out the ankle locking on an ankle lock. Joe quickly transitions to an STF, Facade fights it and eventually reaches the ropes; as Facade gets up Joe lands stiff elbows and shoulders to the back as well as a kick to the chest. Joe then gives a snap-mare, then a chop across the back, a kick to the chest and finally bounces off the northern ropes delivering a knee drop. Joe Then whips Facade off the southern ropes, who springboards off the north and over Joe with a moonsault, then hits an arm drag, Charges at Joe in the south western corner only to receive Joe's signature high impact STO.
DP: Joe is really taking it to Facade here who really can not fight back against a man like Samoa Joe.
Joe pins Facade and gets a two count. As Joe lifts him off the mat Facade finally begins to fight back with fists to the gut, he then whips Joe off the western ropes only to receive a running elbow to the face by Joe. Joe then whips Facade off the western ropes and hits a tilt-a-whirl back breaker, Joe then covers him but gets only a two count again. Joe gets frustrated as he kicks a kneeling Facade in the chest, Facade then slowly fights back and catches a kick immediately hitting a dragon screw, followed by two arm drags and a dropkick sending Joe back into the north western corner. Facade charges but Joe looks for the signature STO but Facade hangs on to the ropes and begins fighting back with elbows and then looks to hit a tornado DDT but when his feet touch the mat Joe nails a perfect northern lights suplex getting a two count.
EG: You can see the frustration on the face of Samoa Joe here. He does not want to loose this title against Facade, the title is to prestigious for him to lose.
Joe then starts slapping around Facade as he backs into the north western corner. Facade then stands up and Joe gives boxing shots to the head and body, he then hits his corner enzugiri causing Facade to fall to a sitting position. Joe then bounces off the eastern ropes looking for his signature boot scrape but Facade moves in time and then hits a school boy getting a two count. Facade then gives a series of martial arts kicks to Joe as he gets up, Facade then runs and springboards off the eastern ropes and hits his signature springboard spinning wheel kick, he then slowly covers Joe but as Bryce Rumsberg gets to the two count, Steve Corino pulls him out of the ring and knocks him out with a right hand and goes after Facade, the camera then focus's on Raven sitting in the same balcony from before looking on at Corino's actions.
DP: Corino promised the voice over the phone he will stop Facade from winning at all costs! And the voice made sure someone would watch over it to make sure it was carried out and that person was Raven of all people!
EG: What a twist!
Corino then starts beating down on Facade with a chair, Joe turns Corino around only to have the chair shoved into his gut and then smashed across his back. Corino then taunts Raven by doing his pose in which causes Raven to come down into the ring and give Corino the Raven effect; a new ref comes out as Joe and Facade slowly get up, Joe hits the muscle buster on Facade resulting in the three count and him keeping his title.
Winner: Samoa Joe
We then cut back to the studio with Dave Prazak and Eric Gargulo
DP: Samoa Joe is still 2FW champion, but what does that leave Raven and Corino to fight over?
EG: A very good question Prazak, there certainly are questions that do need answering around here.
DP: Especially what Corino's relation to the voice on the phone is.
EG: Got that right. Folks thanks for tuning in for another exciting bight of 2FW Action, I'm Eric Gargulo, he's Dave Prazak we'll see you next week.
Before the show ends, we fade to black, and to Raven by himself in what seems to be a church. Candles lit around him and occasionally sunlight peers in through the glass painting window.
R: A great philosopher once said "Do what thou wilt, shall be the whole of the law." and that man was right. A perfect example would be the corrupt and evil, power hungry dictator that is Steve Corino. A man who calls himself "the king of the old school" is very much a king now as he ever was, and by old school, he means old school ways of dictatorship, those of like Josef Stalin, Mussolini and even Adolf Hitler, killing thousands of his own people because they spoke against him. Now it's time for Raven to do the same, for Raven to do what he wants, I will however remain loyal to the brotherhood, but for me, it's my quest to be the 2FW Universal champion before Corino, or Facade do and you will see me accomplish it. It is nothing more than the simple beating of greed that drives the pistons in my engine of hate and my dark and cruel personal demons serve as the oil in this bio-mechanical machine of a human body, it's just that simple and once you realize that, the simpler you realize my quest and the simpler my quest is. Quote The Raven...Nevermore.
